An Overview Of Ubisoft's Press Conference

As I've already stated that I'm not at E3, some of you may be wondering how I'm getting E3 information.

Well, this is how:

Of course, many of you (meaning 1 out of the 2 people that visit this blog) are probably too busy to follow these live press conferences, so that's where my little blog comes in.  So, onwards we go.

Here, in order, are the games that were presented at Ubisoft's press conference:

Driver: San Francisco
Far Cry 3
Brother in Arms: Furious Four
The Adventures of TinTin: The Game
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online
Trackmania 2: Canyon
Raving Rabbids: Alive & Kicking
Just Dance 3
Rocksmith
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012
Assassin's Creed: Revelations (gameplay demo here)

There were also inexplicable flash movies shown of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Just Dance 3 that showcased what the games would like on retro consoles.  Purely for audience entertainment, I suppose.  There was also a short flash movie of Altair presented before the Assassin's Creed: Revelations trailer.  I'll try and find some video of those later.

Anyway, the high point of the conference was undoubtedly Far Cry 3, which looks awesome in every aspect. It appears that the new installment is forsaking the desert-like environments of the second game and going back to its jungle roots.  I know my explanation of the demo in the dedicated Far Cry 3 post was pathetic, but it's something that you just have to see for yourself.  As soon as video of that demo gets uploaded somewhere, rest assured it will be on this blog as well.

The Adventures of TinTin: The Game looked surprisingly good as well; I've never read the comics, but the art style and gameplay, while probably aimed at younger audiences, looked positively delightful; I'll have to keep an eye on it as it nears release in December.

UPDATED: Far Cry 3 video reveal now posted
