The new controller is absolutely ridiculous; it does actually have a screen, as rumored, as well as a d-pad, four face buttons, two analogs, two triggers on the back, and the rest of the buttons that the original Wii controller had. It's a 6.2-inch screen, by the way, and the controller comes with a stylus. It also has a speaker. Apparently, the controller itself can make video calls, and play certain games without use of a television. It also has some other ridiculous features.
There was also footage of a Legend of Zelda title shown, and the screen on the controller acted as Link's inventory. The short video showed Link fighting a giant spider. Looks like its a new Legend of Zelda title for the Wii U.
The console itself has not been shown yet.
