The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which was originally a PC exclusive all the way up until its release, now has a 360 version in the works. After that is out on shelves, however, developer CD Projekt RED say that a PS3 port just might happen.
The Witcher was first supposed to come to consoles with The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, a revamped version of the original game with a reworked combat system and added features; it was supposed to hit the PS3 and 360 in Fall 2009, but was put on hold (canceled in my book) when monetary problems (among other issues) began to present themselves.
CD Projekt Red have said themselves that the combat system in The Witcher 2 was inspired by the one created for Rise of the White Wolf. Anyway, they told Eurogamer that they would like to port the game to the PS3 when the 360 version ships (which will be sometime later this year); unless something goes horribly wrong, I'm pretty sure that means The Witcher 2 will soon be a PS3 title.
